A KEY QUESTION: How can we educate association leaders about the growing importance of intangible drivers of organizational success, especially in a time when a full embrace of the tangible seems so much more safe and appealing?

Tell me at wcbn007@easynet.co.uk if someone from association world would like to co-blog at our number 1 space for inquiring into intangibles valuation

Intangible drivers almost always yield tangible results, even if they are often only antecdotal. They key to affecting change in these areas is to devise ways in which the tangibles can be measured, and what leadership cares most about is the result anyway.
Hey, some days I'd like our leadership to recognize and focus on the tangible drivers.

BRAVO, Jeff! I couldn't agree with you more. You eloquently make the case for those factors that matter most -- to my mind it boils down to "community" and, as you said, "networks and relationships." We need to explore intangibles more deeply and understand, as you do, their vital importance to our work.
