I am pleased to announce that there were three different blog ideas submitted to my Gift of Blog contest and, in the spirit of the season, I have decided to give each of them a year of TypePad blog service to get them started.
The three recipients of the Gift of Blog are:
Yvonne Dock will blog on associations from a very different perspective. Yvonne is a former association executive (and a CAE) who is now working in the Federal government. Her blog will be a tongue-in-cheek, humorous take on associations from the inside, as well as a look at her own triumphs and issues working in Federal government as the lone CAE in a building of 5,000 federal employees.
Jay Schiavo will blog about integrating marketing, communications and messages from all other association functional areas. Jay's goal will be to help his readers develop more consensus around their association's positions and ideas, so that they can increase sales of products, programs and services, as well as enhance the perception of the association's value and reinforce it's brand.
Cecilia Sepp will blog on a range of volunteer management issues from local management concerns, to relating to the "head office," to creative ideas for working with volunteers. Cecilia's blog will cover the spectrum of challenges that associations face in this area: committees, sections, SIGs, member-to-member networks, chapters and components.
I'm confident that each of these new blogs will be just great and I'm very excited about three brand new additions to the association community blogging universe! Our goal is to have each of these blogs up and going by the middle of next month and, of course, I will announce when they are live here on TAIB.
If you have ideas or suggestions for topics you'd like to see covered on any of these blogs (as well as TAIB) please post them below as comments. Thanks!
